Main objective of the project LasApp: Breakthrough Laser Technologies for Smart Manufacturing, Space and Bio-Tech Applications is to foster a center of scientific excellence and competence in laser technology with a focus on fiber lasers and thin-disc lasers and their potential applications.
The LasApp Project primarily advances existing state-of-the-art laser technologies, for which it explores entirely new application directions with the potential for breakthrough solutions at an international level. Strategic application areas include space biotechnology and smart advanced manufacturing applications. The Project promotes the internationalisation of laser technology research, developing excellent teams and international collaboration. The Project produces excellent research outputs, including outputs with application potential.
